How to assign a battery as NEW?

Thanks to KTM technology, you don't need to solder anything or use a programmer. You can complete the entire process in 3 simple steps:

1. INSTALLATION
Install the battery in your phone. Make sure you have the LATEST available version of iOS installed and access to Wi-Fi.
2. SETTINGS
Go to:
Settings -> General -> This Device. There you will find the "Parts and Service History" section.
3. CONFIGURATION
Click the "Finish configuration" button. The phone will connect to the Apple server and assign the battery as genuine.

Important before running battery diagnostics:

  1. The battery level must be above 20%.
  2. The phone must be running the latest official version of iOS. Beta versions do not support diagnostics.
  3. A stable internet connection is required. Unstable Wi-Fi can cause network or server errors.
  4. Diagnostics should not be performed if non-original parts, such as the screen, camera, or Face ID, are installed in the phone.
  5. If necessary, you can temporarily install original components, run the battery diagnostics, and then reinstall the original parts.
  6. If the result shows "Unknown," restart your phone and repeat the test. If the message persists, it may indicate a rare BMS error and the battery needs to be replaced.
  7. The phone should be connected to the same network before and during the diagnostics. Changing the network may interrupt the process.

Before we decided to create the KTM brand, thousands of batteries from various manufacturers passed through our own service center. We tested them in daily operation, checking how they held the voltage and how the system reacted to it. Only when we found a factory whose cells truly met our specifications did we enter into direct cooperation to offer, under our own brand, what we stand for.

What sets these batteries apart is that there's no need to solder the BMS electronics from the old battery or use external programmers. This saves a huge amount of time and eliminates the risk of damaging the delicate ribbon cables when relocating the electronics.

We know that these batteries are a bit more expensive than the cheapest alternatives, but as service technicians, we also know that the customer's peace of mind and lack of complaints are worth it. As owners of the KTM brand, we take full responsibility for them and provide you with the support we would expect from a supplier.
