Relife RL-004X diagnostic mat for locating short circuits on motherboards

Relife RL-004X is a specialized heat-sensitive mat designed for locating short circuits and areas of excessive heat generation on electronic motherboards. The tool utilizes a thermochromic material that reacts to temperature changes, enabling the quick and direct identification of heat-emitting zones.

Relife RL-004X allows for the visual localization of such areas, as the mat changes color wherever the temperature rises. Thanks to its flexible design, the mat conforms to irregular surfaces, ensuring contact with components of various sizes.

Description

Relife RL-004X utilizes the properties of a thermochromic material that changes color in response to an increase in temperature.

When the mat is placed over a specific area of a motherboard, the heat emitted by operating components is transferred to its surface.

In areas where the temperature reaches approximately 35°C or higher, a color change occurs, providing a visual indication of spots with elevated temperatures.

Once cooled below the reaction temperature, the mat returns to its original color, allowing it to be reused for subsequent measurements.

The Relife RL-004X features a flexible design, enabling it to conform to the irregular surfaces of motherboards.

The material can be gently bent, facilitating contact with components of varying heights and shapes.

Reversible thermal reaction

The mat is made of a material that changes color when exposed to heat and reverts to its original hue upon cooling.

  • Temperature ≥35°C – color change activated at the heated location.

  • Temperature below 35°C – returns to the original color.

Key Advantages

Thermochromic response starting at 35°C

The mat changes color in areas with elevated temperatures, allowing for quick, visual localization of hotspots on PCBs.

Rapid identification of potential short circuits

Helps identify areas of excessive heat generation, facilitating the diagnosis of faulty components and abnormal current draw.

Flexible and adaptable design

Allows the mat to conform to the irregular surfaces of motherboards and components of varying heights.

Reversible color change

Once cooled below 35°C, the mat returns to its original color, allowing for repeated use during subsequent diagnostic tasks.
