QianLi Gorilla 256 Thermal Imaging Camera
QianLi Gorilla 256 Thermal Imaging Camera
QianLi Gorilla 256 is a compact thermal imaging camera designed for PCB and electronics diagnostics. Its 256 × 192 px thermal resolution, adjustable focus, and the ability to combine thermal imaging with a visible light image make it possible to quickly locate short circuits, overheating components, and parts with excessive current draw. The camera is designed to work with the QianLi Gorilla 6558 system, allowing it to become an integral part of a professional electronics repair workstation.
QianLi Gorilla 256 Thermal Imaging Camera
QianLi Gorilla 256 is a compact thermal imaging camera designed for professional diagnostics of electronics and PCB boards. The module has been designed to work with the QianLi Gorilla 6558 system, allowing it to be integrated directly into a microscope workstation.
The camera enables quick detection of overheating components, short circuits, excessive current draw and other thermal irregularities occurring on the motherboards of smartphones, tablets and other electronic devices.
256 × 192 px Thermal Imaging
The heart of the camera is a thermal imaging sensor with a resolution of 256 × 192 pixels, providing a detailed view of the temperature distribution across the observed surface.
This makes it possible to accurately inspect small electronic components and quickly identify an element whose temperature differs from the rest of the circuit.
It is particularly useful for:
- locating short circuits on PCB boards,
- detecting overheating components,
- diagnosing excessive current draw,
- checking power supply sections,
- comparing the temperatures of individual components,
- verifying devices after repair.
Thermal Imaging and Visible Light Camera
QianLi Gorilla 256 uses two imaging systems – a thermal imaging camera and a visible light camera.
This makes it possible not only to view the temperature distribution, but also to determine more precisely which component on the PCB corresponds to the visible hot spot.
Available image modes include:
- thermal image,
- visible light image,
- thermal and visible image overlay,
- edge enhancement mode.
This solution significantly simplifies the process of locating very small SMD components and identifying the exact source of a fault.
Fast Detection of Overheating Components
During diagnostics, the camera displays the temperature distribution in real time. This allows the technician to observe which component begins to heat up immediately after power is applied.
This is especially useful when searching for short circuits, where a faulty capacitor, IC or other component may heat up much faster than the surrounding elements.
Instead of checking individual components manually, the technician can visually identify the suspicious area based on its temperature.
Advanced Temperature Analysis
The software used with the camera offers much more than simply displaying a thermal image.
Available functions include:
- real-time temperature measurement,
- highest temperature tracking,
- lowest temperature tracking,
- temperature analysis of a selected area,
- temperature comparison,
- image zoom,
- taking photos,
- video recording.
This allows the camera to be used both for quick fault detection and for more detailed analysis of circuit operation.
Adjustable Focus
The camera features adjustable focus, allowing the image to be adapted to the working height and the component being inspected.
This is particularly important when working with small components located on smartphone motherboards.
Integration with QianLi Gorilla 6558
The module has been designed to work with the compatible QianLi Gorilla 6558 integrated microscope positioning and lighting module.
The camera can be mounted directly next to the microscope optical system, allowing the technician to quickly switch between:
microscope image → thermal image → microscope work.
Such an integrated workstation helps reduce the amount of additional equipment required on the service bench.
USB Type-C Connection
The camera communicates with a computer via USB Type-C. After connecting the device and launching the appropriate software, the image can be displayed and analysed directly on the computer screen.
Photos can be saved in JPG format, while videos can be recorded in MP4 format.
Ideal for Electronics Repair
QianLi Gorilla 256 has been designed primarily for diagnostics of small electronic devices.
It is ideal for repairing:
- smartphones,
- tablets,
- laptops,
- motherboards,
- electronic modules,
- low-voltage devices,
- precision electronics.
In a smartphone repair centre, a thermal imaging camera can significantly reduce the time required to locate a component responsible for a short circuit or excessive current draw.
